I’ll continue my last post next time since that leads to 5th grade & onwards, back to my ancient days.
I remember my brother teaching me how to accurately speak English (either I had an accent or I couldn’t say words properly). I believe at one point, he kept teasing me. I got pretty mad & started hitting him. I remember so clearly, I was hitting him with all my strength & he just defended it with his left arm. All I remember seeing was his skin turning all red. I don’t know what happened after that.
Since I mentioned learning English, yup, you guessed it. I was an ESL student. I believe they said I didn’t need it after grade 6. Don’t remember much from this either.
I was 8 years old, living in Downtown, Toronto (Oops, I think I forgot to mention this). Steve (my best bud)’s mother invited me to eat dinner at a church up on my street. The food was good & I helped them clean up when it was all over. However, that’s not why I remembered this event lol. It was what myself and some other adults were paying attention to. There was a little boy & little girl who was playing around under the table beside mine. Holy crap, they BOTH were spoiled so bad. I’d go into details but, I don’t want my blog to be flagged for being related to child porn & I remember reading the strict policy about no toleration.etc, so I’ll just leave it at that…
*ahem* MOVING ALONG
I was a very carefree little kid back then. It never bothered me to be made fun of. My brother had free-swimming lessons & most of the time I’d have to follow. Lol, I remember doing everything you shouldn’t be doing out in the public. This old quote says it all.
“Pick your nose, pick your bum, then you’ll have some bubble gum.”
It’s not very clear, but there are times when we used subways to get to places.
Everything changed when we moved to a complete new street, with 3 completely built houses & a half complete one, a whole new neighborhood that was shortly built soon after and a new community.
A new life in Markham, as I entered Grade 5 in Parkland Public School.
